The first thing to know is that the tool changed its name. Freepik rebranded to Magnific in April 2026, and if you go looking for "Freepik AI pricing" you will find a lot of pages describing a product that no longer carries that label. The plans are broadly the same; the branding is not.

The second thing to know is why anyone in this niche cares about it at all. Freepik/Magnific is not its own video model — it is a front end that rents you Kling, Veo, Runway and a stack of others through one subscription. That is either the best deal in AI video or an expensive way to run out of credits by the 20th, depending entirely on what you generate.

The plans, as they stand in 2026

Those credit numbers look enormous next to a tool like Hedra or Kling, and that is the trap. They are annual figures, and video is priced in a different league from images.

What a video actually costs

A single 8-second HD clip runs anywhere from 25 to 2,600+ credits depending on which model you route it to and at what quality. That is a hundredfold spread inside one subscription, and it is the only number that matters when you are deciding whether this is cheap.

Run the arithmetic on Premium+. Six hundred thousand credits a year is 50,000 a month. At the cheap end of that range you could generate two thousand clips. At the premium end — Veo at full quality, say — you get roughly nineteen. Both of those are the same plan. If you generate daily on the good models, Premium+ can run dry in under 40 days.

So the honest way to price this is not "how many credits do I get" but "which model am I actually going to use, every day, at what quality". Answer that and the plan picks itself.

Where the bundle genuinely wins

Two situations, and I have been in both.

You do not know which model you want yet. Subscribing to Kling, Runway and Veo separately to find out costs three subscriptions and a lot of switching. One Premium plan lets you push the same prompt through all of them in an afternoon and see which one handles your shot. For that job it is excellent value, and I would happily pay a month for the comparison alone.

Your work is image-led with video as a finishing step. Premium+ includes unlimited generation on around ten image models, and that is the part of the offer that is genuinely uncapped. If your pipeline is stills first and motion second — product shots, thumbnails, storyboard frames that get animated — the unlimited image tier does the heavy lifting and video credits become an occasional expense rather than the whole budget.

Where it loses is the opposite case: high-volume video on one known model. If you have settled on Kling and you generate twenty clips a day, going direct is cheaper and you get the newer model versions sooner. Aggregators lag the source by weeks. Credits expire — plan around it

Credits reset on your cycle, monthly or yearly depending on the plan, and they do not roll over. On an annual plan that is less punishing than it sounds because the pool is yearly, but it does mean a burst month followed by three quiet ones wastes the same money as any other subscription.

The habit that saves the most: draft at the cheapest model and quality you can tolerate, pick the take, then re-render only the keeper on the expensive model. Most people do this backwards — they generate on the best model first and then discard four out of five. That last row is worth taking seriously if your volume is high and your patience is reasonable. My take

Premium at $20 is a fair price for a month of finding out what you actually need. Treat it as research spend, not production spend. Premium+ earns its $45 only if you are using the unlimited image models heavily — buy it for that, and treat the video credits as a bonus rather than the point. Pro at $280 is for studios with a delivery schedule, and if you are asking whether you need it, you do not.

And once you know which model you keep coming back to, do the sums on going direct. The bundle is a discovery tool. It stops being the cheap option the moment you have made your choice.
